Now that we find ourselves at full implementation of the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF), local educational agencies (LEAs) will find themselves in a COLA-only environment. The increased demands on an LEA’s base funding (e.g., pension contributions, the cost of step and column increases, and increases in health benefit obligations) will outpace those COLAs. This session will focus on bargaining challenges, preparing your team, and ensuring fiscal solvency as we prepare to embark on tougher times.
